Are you a bakery with a shop front?

We are not a brick-and-mortar business with a store-front. Everything we make is pre-ordered, custom-made, and personalised in a home-based kitchen consistently checked and rated 5 stars for cleanliness and hygiene. When is the earliest I can order?

Since everything we make is handcrafted and customised with great attention to detail, the earlier you place an order, the better. The best time frame is a month/four weeks before your cake due date. We are however able to accommodate orders placed two weeks in advance. Please allow up to 7 days for online orders.  But if you are about to have your dream wedding and want us to take care of the perfect cake, it is better to plan and place the order six months in advance.

What do the opening hours on your homepage mean?

The opening hours on our homepage serve as a guide to the customer for when to contact us to discuss the requirements of your order including appointments, customisations, collections and delivery. We try to answer any customer query and schedule any customer delivery within the designated opening hours. Visits are by appointment only.

Are your cakes affordable?

Our prices reflect an overall unique experience from start of your order to completion. There are some set designs on our online shop for you to choose from, these can be adapted and customised at competitive prices to suit individual preferences.There are also custom orders tailored to your specific needs and priced on the of complexity of design, details required and time taken. Every one of our cakes is handcrafted with love so please contact us directly to enquire.

Why is there a different serving guide for different cakes?

The reason is simple. Since every cake is customised to meet the customer’s expectations, no two cakes are the same. The serving guide serves as a guide to help you get the most number of uniform slices from our cakes. We suggest sticking to our serving guide and instructions to get the most out of every order.

Can you post cakes and cupcakes brought from your online store?

Sadly, no! our whole cakes and cupcakes cannot be posted via mail due to their delicate nature. Your cakes and cupcakes can however be ordered online with specific instructions to be completed for collection or delivery discussed in advance. There are other listed baked goodies such as brownies, cake jars and cake slices that can be posted. Get in touch with us and discuss your delivery requirements.

When can I pick up my cake?

When you place an order with us, we will discuss and agree on a collection time with you in advance. We will notify before your is due time and will endeavour to accommodate your time preferences.

Can I pay for my cake in full after it has been made when I pick it up?

Sadly, no. You require a 50% deposit when you place an order. We accept payment via cash, card or bank transfer. The balance after your deposit must be paid before 7 days before your cake is due. Refer to our terms and conditions page for more information.

What other products do you sell apart from cakes and cupcakes?

Other than cakes and cupcakes, we have brownies, cake jars, and cake slices at Glady’s Gourmet Cakes. Browse through our collection of listed items in our online shop.

Do you make cakes with special dietary requirements like gluten free?

Currently, we serve a select range of gluten-free cupcakes and are planning to expand this range. However, since we operate from a home-kitchen where nuts and other allergens are traceable. we cannot guarantee your cake is completely gluten-free or nut-free. If you have a special dietary requirement, please get in touch directly to discuss this.

I don't like cakes that are too sweet, is there something for me?

Absolutely. At Glady’s Gourmet Cakes, we specialise in creating cakes and cupcakes suitable for individual tastes. Cakes are made to be sweet, but our buttercream varieties allow you to limit the sweetness without compromising on taste. Choose from our Swiss or French Meringue buttercream with their luxuriously smooth taste to complement your cake.

How far do you deliver your cakes?

We highly recommend your wedding cake is delivered and set up; this is free within a certain local distance. A flat rate is applicable outside of our service area depending on the distance. Celebration cakes are collections only but occasionally can be delivered under special circumstances discussed in advance. Get in touch with us to know more and schedule a delivery in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

Do you offer wedding cake tastings?

Wedding cake tastings are a part of the package that can be arranged before face-to-face design consultations. However, if face to face consultation is not possible, a postal box with the cake sample can be purchased from our online store.

Can I get a different flavour for each tier?

Yes, you can. However, there is an additional charge associated with certain flavours for cakes, buttercream and fillings. Check our flavour list or get in touch with us for further details.

Can I change any design aspect of my cake?

Yes. At Glady’s Gourmet Cakes, we specialise in custom designs personalised to your requests and preferences. We can accommodate design alterations within reasonable time before work begins on your cake.

How can I contact you for an order?

We highly recommend contact via Email, text and WhatsApp. Facebook and Instagram DMs can be missed. We aim to contact you within 48 hours of your initial contact but in the rare occurrence that you have not heard from us after this time please do send us a reminder.

I didn't receive a quote for the photo I sent?

A few factors influence the overall price of a particular cake. A quote requires time and more information hence we are unable to respond to a photo sent via DM or any other means requesting ‘how much?’. If you require a quote for your cake, please fill out our order form or check our website for a price guide.

Can a posted online purchase be returned?

Any baked products posted cannot be returned but we advise you contact us immediately if you have an issue with your purchase. Cakes bought online for collection and delivery should meet our reasonable threshold policy for any return or refund consideration. Please check our full terms and conditions.
