We offer a varied range of cake design options from artistically sculpted cakes to simple shaped round cakes elegantly presented as polished ganache and drip cakes.
Each cake is baked fresh for you and layered with fillings of buttercream and accompaniment such as curd and caramel sauce made from scratch in our highly rated home kitchen.
Your cake after filling and layering is then covered with a coating of ganache before being presented as a non-fondant semi naked cake or a fully iced fondant cake. The choice of either a fondant or non-fondant option is based on your preference, need and budget.
Fondant cakes are pricier than their non-fondant options hence for best value all our drip cakes and most of our celebration cakes are semi naked ganache cakes.
We offer buttercream cakes where possible but we recommend and use ganache for all our cakes.

At Glady’s Gourmet Cakes we do not replicate exact work of other artists provided in photo form. The photo you send us serves as a guide from which a similar cake may be recreated while maintaining the unique design elements that are important to you.
For better value, some fondant cakes presented in photos can be recreated in non-fondant versions. This may result in slight changes to the finished presentation.
We hope our uniquely varied range of sponge choices will be suitable for you to choose from but we can also accommodate custom sponge and buttercream/filling preferences not available on our list of options. These may not always be possible or may incur a surcharge depending on your needs where possible.

At Glady’s Gourmet cakes our buttercream is exclusively Swiss meringue or French buttercream. A premium egg-based buttercream made from scratch to guarantee a lusciously smooth texture to complement your cake, even better the sugar quantities can be adapted to your specific preference.Occasionally we also use a special recipe of American buttercream when required. Please note all premium and custom preferences will incur a surcharge.
