Gladys Ania is a cake designer, cake artist and founder of Glady’s Gourmet Cakes. She is also the creator of Glady’s Cake Kitchen, a YouTube channel dedicated to all things cake.
Gladys discovered baking in 2015 while working as a carer for an elderly client who depended on her invaluable service of care provision. Baking become a fond activity providing an escape for the client away from the heaviness of her debilitating illness and fulfilment for both.
Over the years,Gladys has perfected her skills from self taught baker by taking classes and learning from some of the industry’s most talented and skilled professionals such as Julie Miller of Julie’s Coutour Cakes ( NEC cake International silver award winner) Ruhena of Ruffles and Pearls Cake Ltd and Jameeela Akraam of Sweet Jeeleez Cakes.
With a penchant for creating stunning cakes,Gladys specialises in creating sugar flowers which are used as decorative elements, she is also passionate about cakes and hopes you have a great experience with your cake from from your first contact to your last slice.
Gladys is a mother to a young son and when cake is not the menu, she enjoys photography and sharing her cake making skills on YouTube.
